Checotah Industrial Development Authority (CIDA) has been in existence for several years and has recently increased their number of trustees.  It’s purpose is to enhance the local area quality of life and promote growth by recruiting and retaining jobs that are created through economic and industrial development efforts.  CIDA is one of the leading economic/industrial organizations in East-Central Oklahoma that promotes the area as a good, safe place to live and a place where people want to stay.

The Carmen Candle Building is 40,700 sq.ft  There is 32,000 sq.ft. of manufacturing and 8,000 sq.ft. of office, rest rooms, showrooms and shops.  The manufacturing space has 12 foot ceilings.  The building sits on 5.2 acres and there is another 23+ acres directly to the south that is for sale.

The Gentry Cinema building was constructed around the 1900s give or take 10 years.  It has been recently up-dated to include new plumbing, all new electrical system, all new heat and air system, all new sprinkler system, all new chocolate brown stucco façade, all new marquee and signage, all new ADA accessible restrooms, new projection and sound system, new comfortable lumbar seats and much more.
