On Friday, February 17, 2012, The Checotah Chamber of Commerce will host a Free Hamburger Lunch in the Pocket Park from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM to celebrate Checotah’s 140th Birthday. Everyone is invited and welcome to come. Mayor Marvin Nichols has proclaimed February as Checotah’s birthday month. Checotah Students are in the process of making Birthday Banners and the Checotah Girl Scout Troop will be decorating retail store windows. Downtown historic displays and merchant specials are going on now! |
